12 ways you can join the fight against AIDS

  1. How much do you know about the AIDS crisis? Find out by taking our AIDS Test.
  2. Make your mark for children affected by AIDS. Ask the Bush Administration to allocate more money to help children affected by AIDS. Add your virtual signature to the online petition or use your mobile phone to send a text message to the White House.
  3. Build a Caregiver Kit. You’ll help assemble kits containing basic supplies that improve and prolong the lives of those living with AIDS while protecting caregivers from infection. Visit www.worldvision.org/carekits to learn more.
  4. Sponsor a child affected by AIDS and tell your friends, family, or church about child sponsorship using our free A Child is Waiting materials.
  5. Walk the steps of a child affected by AIDS through our virtual AIDS Experience.
  6. Pray for children and families affected by AIDS. Join World Vision’s Hope Prayer Chain.
  7. Learn more about global AIDS by reading these FAQs.
  8. Give a gift to help feed children affected by AIDS.
  9. Join a World Vision AIDS Walk for Orphans. Several are planned, including events in Chicago, Monterey Bay, and Orange County.
  10. Join students at one of nearly 100 college campuses who are making a difference through Acting on AIDS.
  11. Host a Global Dinner: serve friends traditional foods from an AIDS-affected country, then share the opportunity to sponsor a child from that country.
  12. Join World Vision president Rich Stearns and other influential leaders at the 2006 Global Summit on AIDS and the Church, hosted by Rick and Kay Warren.

>>> I know that most of these in the list are related to the U.S..  If you're thinking that there is nothing you can do about AIDS then start small - start talking about it.  - Robert.
