  Frenzy 2006

Like any ministry that you step into there is always a history. Many years ago (in the dinosaur age) the parents of KBC used to organize events for the Year 7 and 8.

About 10 years ago Esther Van Lune saw the need to set up something official for this age group. Regularly on a Friday night a group of 11, 12 and 13 years olds would meet at the church and have fun, always with a theme……topics that were relevant for this age. Some days they would have outings photos to prove it….This group also thought of their name “Frenzy”.

Over the years many people in KBC have helped out in this area and I know the excitement for the 11 year olds when they are ready to go to Frenzy. It’s like another step for them in their journey with God and also in this church.

For 11 and 12 year olds this is a real transition time, they have left the children’s church, are not quite ready for the youth group so have often felt left out.

This year Caroline and Libby have taken up the banner (under Nigel and Cathy Cottle’s guidance) – however even though we are passionate about seeing this group catered for we realize that it is not the role of parents, especially mothers to run this group. We have been very grateful to Aadjan and Bexs for helping us and taking over the Sunday teaching and the Sunday afternoon events.

At the moment we have events every second Sunday afternoon – if you are interested in knowing more please contact us. We will email you out a calendar. We certainly have some interesting times ahead of us ….Mission days, bike riding in Woodhill Forest, Trash and Treasure Fashion Shows…….

Our prayer for Frenzy is that someone, either a couple or two would have a heart for this age group. People who would encourage them, teach them, laugh and cry with them, have fun with them, challenge them, help them to grow as individuals, to work as a team, to help and support each other……..the list can go on. As parents we would always support you and help in any way that was needed. I tell you it is an absolute privilege been with this age group. They are a joy and a blessing. Be Blessed
